About area

Eastern Siberia, which includes the Irkutsk region, is distinguished by a variety of flattering rocks. They are dominated by Siberian larch, Daurian larch, pine, birch and aspen, cedar and dwarf cedar. The climate of the Irkutsk region is sharply continental, with long cold winters and short, but hot and dry summers. Due to the specified climatic indicators of this region, there are frequent cases of forest fires, which, unfortunately, cause significant damage to the region's flattering resources. This is why reforestation programs are especially important here. Fortunately, thanks to the "Give a forest to a friend" program of the Post Bank, today everyone can become a participant in a forest restoration project. So, one of the territories where urgent assistance is needed is the site of the Ushakovsky district forestry of the Irkutsk forestry enterprise, which lost about 100 hectares of forest due to a strong fire. To restore this site, it is planned to plant Scots pine. Planting work is planned for the spring of 2018.

Friends! We conducted an autumn inventory on the site. Planted forest lultura feel great, show a good survival rate: it corresponds to the standard values. As you can see, planting was carried out in a two-row belt method, which makes it easier to carry out agrotechnical care. There are no weedy vegetation around the seedlings that would shade them, preventing them from receiving the necessary sunlight for ... growth. Timely mowing also prevents the grass from lodging under the weight of snow, which can lead to the death of still weak pines. Plot prepared for winter. About how the seedlings wintered and met the spring, we will tell you next year.
