Eastern Siberia, which includes the Irkutsk region, is distinguished by a variety of flattering rocks. Their composition is dominated by larch (76%) in the west - Siberian, and in the rest of the territory - Daurian, pine (10%), birch and aspen (6%), cedar (3%) and dwarf cedar (4%). In the north of the Irkutsk region, deciduous forests play the main role. Spruce forests are mainly found along rivers, streams, streams and on the northern slopes of the mountains. About 7,000,000 hectares are occupied by cedar forests, which is 12% in percentage. The climate of the Irkutsk region is sharply continental, with long cold winters and short, but hot and dry summers. Due to the specified climatic indicators of this region, there are frequent cases of forest fires, which, unfortunately, cause significant damage to the region's flattering resources. This is why reforestation programs are especially important here. Fortunately, thanks to the "Give a forest to a friend" program of the Post Bank, today everyone can become a participant in a forest restoration project. So, one of the areas where urgent assistance is needed is the site of the Gorokhovsky district forestry of the Irkutsk forestry enterprise, which lost 19.4 hectares of forest due to a strong fire. Annual care
Hello, friends! Summer 2019 turned out to be very difficult for our region. Floods, forest fires and abnormal weather made us worry about the state of planting. To protect trees from fire, foresters created mineralized stripes, which in many ways helped the forest survive. Today we can safely say that most of the pines were not affected, the plantings are in line with the design indicators and our forest continues ... to grow. Thank you for being with us!

Dear friends! Today, about 80 thousand pine seedlings have been added to the territory of the Irkutsk Region. The weather was summer bright. We very much hope that the heat rays emanating from the sun and forest planting participants will become the fertile foundation that will allow young seedlings to gain healthy energy and strength, and help to easily transfer the upcoming winter and Siberian frosts. The ... action was attended by the Irkutsk representatives of the ONF, the Voluntary Fire Service, the Forest Fire Center, students of educational institutions, employees of the forest industry, as well as ordinary citizens who are not indifferent to the restoration of the forest. There were many beautiful young people, and how nice it is to realize that the younger generation takes care of nature, understands the importance of preserving forest ecosystems, and takes an active part in forest restoration.
