Hello, friends! Summer 2019 turned out to be very difficult for our region. Floods, forest fires and abnormal weather made us worry about the state of planting. To protect trees from fire, foresters created mineralized stripes, which in many ways helped the forest survive. Dear friends, on May 19, 2018, the first 20 hectares of new pine forest were planted in the Irkutsk Forestry! In the territories affected by the fires, 80,000 seedlings were planted, which in 5-7 years can become a full-fledged forest and restore the damaged ecosystem. This forest is also made special by the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a hand in his planting, who paid more than 1000 seedlings from ... his personal account through the Treeography.com service. The President was supported by the administration of the Irkutsk Region, Pochta Bank and more than 5,000 citizens of our country. Huge work has been done by foresters and volunteers, but even more ambitious tasks lie ahead: another 400,000 seedlings are planned to be planted in the Irkutsk forest range in order to fully restore the affected forest area. We thank everyone who was able to support the project and implement the landing. Ahead of us is a series of agrotechnical cares and regular monitoring of survival.
