About area

Dear friends, our forest shows steady growth: pines feel great and show good growth in the apical bud. Supplements are not required. Forests are regularly maintained by foresters: plantings are weaved and weeds are removed. This gives our landings an advantage in access to water and sunlight. The nearest crop inventory is scheduled for autumn 2018. Follow our reports and thank you for being with us!

I am sure many of you are familiar with the main pride not only of the Oryol National Park, but also of our entire region. Of course, we are talking about the famous red bison living in the territory of Polesie. So, my friends, every tree you plant means that bison will be in the most comfortable environment for themselves, because the presence of a forest in the aura of their habitat is an absolute necessity for their ... existence. Preserving the forests of Oryol Park, we preserve our natural heritage. We thank all those who took part in the project “Give a Friend to the Forest” and supported our park. After all, each of you has made his personal contribution to the preservation of the natural wealth of our country.

It's time to share with you a momentous event for our park. In the spring of 2016, the Orlovskoye Polesye National Park became a participant of the Give Wood to a Friend program, conducted by Pochta Bank together with the IT platform Treeography.com. “Give a forest to a friend” is the first project in the world that allows remotely, through the Internet or ATMs, to restore forests by choosing a landing site by ... yourself. Thus, with the help of the staff and customers of Pochta Bank, in our Orlovsky Polesie, 2 forest areas were damaged, which were damaged as a result of the fir forest. How was the landing in Peshkovskom forestry you can see in our photo report.

The forest area affected by the drying of the fir grove is located on the territory of the Orlovskoye Polesye National Park. Planned reforestation - the creation of mixed pine-birch forest crops. The affected part of the forest is home to more than 400 bison in red books. This population, which is formed in the forests of the Oryol-Bryansk-Kaluga region, ranks first in terms of the number of thoroughbred bison in ... Russia. Recreation of forest cultures in this area will contribute to the revival of the European bison population and will help step over the line of 500 individuals, and therefore withdraw them from the Red Book.
