About area

National Park "Mari Chodra" - one of the most beautiful parts of our state, the pearl of the Mari Territory. His business card is rightly cleanest lakes and springs, full-flowing rivers, forests with their diversity of flora and fauna. In this area, the forest died as a result of high fire in 2010. The area was covered with uneven (from 42 to 100 years) coniferous stands (pine-tree species). In 2011, the ... site was carried out clear sanitary felling. There is no natural reforestation, therefore the park administration decided to plant pine saplings, which will allow restoring the damaged ecosystem. At 5 km from the site is a wildlife monument of national importance - Pugachev Oak and a unique lake Mushan-er.
