The nature of the only national park of the Yaroslavl region - the Pleshcheyevo Lake park is inextricably and harmoniously connected with the monuments of archeology, history and culture of ancient Pereslavl-Zalessky. The forest, as an integral part of nature, acts as their wonderful living frame. More than one hundred thousand tourists, history and nature lovers visit the park annually. The area was recently hit by a bark beetle that destroyed the forest. In the spring of 2019, on an area of 0.6 hectares, it is planned to plant 1200 pine and spruce seedlings and mow them from weeds within 5 years. This necessary and correct action will help restore the balance of forest resources in this area, and increase the population of the White-tailed Eagle, listed in the Red Book of Russia.
