National Park "Meshchera" in its original form is an amazing example of real Russian nature with its endless fields and meadows, mighty forests, sunny glades and clean lakes. In 2010, forest fires killed more than 2,000 hectares of coniferous plantations. The site for restoration, damaged in 2010 as a result of forest fires, has an area of 1.2 hectares, is located in the immediate vicinity of the working village and is a recreation site for local residents. Volunteers of Ryazan organizations, schoolchildren of the district and students of Ryazan universities will be invited to plant the forest. During the project, 6,000 Scots pine seedlings will be planted, which will help restore the balance of conifers in the park.
