National Park "Meshchera" was created to preserve ecosystems and natural complexes of the Meshchera lowland, monuments of historical and cultural heritage, protection of natural attractions, rare species of plants and animals. The park attracts with the modest, true beauty of Russian nature, which fills the beholder with peace and inner strength. The 1.6 hectare site was damaged by forest fires. A clear sanitary felling was carried out on it. Planting of 10,000 Scots pine seedlings is planned for the fall of 2017, which will help restore the original appearance of the site.
