National Park "Meshchera" in its original form is an amazing example of real Russian nature with its endless fields and meadows, mighty forests, sunny glades and clean lakes. In 2010, forest fires killed more than 2,000 hectares of coniferous plantations. The recovery site, which was damaged by forest fires in 2010, has an area of 2.7 hectares. Volunteers of Ryazan organizations, schoolchildren of the district and students of Ryazan universities will be invited to plant the forest. During the project, 13,500 Scots pine seedlings will be planted, which will help restore the balance of conifers in the park.
