About area

Ten kilometers from the border with Kazakhstan, there are two ribbon pine forests, which can be seen even from space. These forests are a real oasis in the steppe. A certain microclimate is formed here, which affects the environment. For example, in winter, the forest belt accumulates snow, which slowly melts in the spring and feeds the steppe rivers and lakes with groundwater. And in summer, the forest is a natural obstacle to the dusty and sandy Asian storms. In addition to pines, birch, aspen, poplar, willow, meadowsweet, raspberry, bird cherry, as well as numerous herbs and plants included in the Red Book of Altai Territory grow in the forest. In autumn, experienced mushroom pickers fill their baskets with milk mushrooms, butter mushrooms, honey mushrooms, mushrooms here. Elk, Siberian roe deer, hare, fox, wolf, chipmunk, squirrel, lynx, badger, ermine, wild boar, muskrat, beaver and other animals and birds live in this ecosystem. In 1997 and 2000, large forest fires occurred on the territory of the forestry, affecting an area of more than 30 thousand hectares. For the last 20 years, measures have been taken in Ozero-Kuznetsovsky forestry to restore the forest. Forestry specialists succeed in gradually restoring forest plantations and reviving the lost forest belt ecosystem. We are planning to plant Scots pine seedlings here, which will return the forest to its original appearance.

Annual care report
Dear friends! We are ready to share with you the results of the survival rate of our forest, planted with seedlings with a closed root system (ZKS). When examining the areas of forest plantations located in the Ozero-Kuznetsovsky forestry, a good survival rate of forest plantations after overwintering was noted. The growth of forest crops over the past year amounted to about 3-5 cm. It is worth noting that the ... growth process does not always proceed evenly, pine seedlings grow quite slowly for the first three years of life, and the growth rate increases only at 3-5 years of age. Apical buds of seedlings are not damaged, they develop fully. The central bud, which gives the plant growth in height, is also in good condition, without visible damage and drying out. In general, the state of the young forest without obvious damage. No pests were found on the site.

Dear friends! The 2020 season will be remembered for a long time. Many triographers self-insulated at home, but the spring could not be stopped and the landing season could not be missed. (Remember that a triographer is the one who plants trees and opens up new territories on the green map of our country) So, we have planted all your trees! We had to plant only the personnel: we did not want to expose neither the guests ... nor the photographer to the risk of getting sick. Therefore, the photographs this time turned out to be unprofessional, but from the heart. Thank you all for your participation in the restoration of Ozero-Kuznetsovsky forestry.
