About area

Scenic natural landscapes, meander lakes, natural spa springs and dense forests – all these are natural tourist attractions of the Reserved Mordovia National Park. The park was made here to preserve the most valuable ecosystems in the mixed forest area of Mordovia with special ecological and aesthetic value. The southern part of the forest and the adjacent flood land of the Alatyr river are a key ornithological area of global importance. Such rare bird species as the greater spotted eagle, imperial eagle, white-tailed eagle, lesser kestrel, pale harrier, corncrake and great snipe nest here. We are going to plant pine saplings in early 2021 in order to help restore the damaged ecosystem.

Dear friends, the landing has taken place! We have planted pine seedlings on the territory of the National Park “Reserved Mordovia”. Now the young forest is being protected by foresters and will receive agrotechnical care for five years. Such care ensures the maximum survival rate of seedlings and in a few years a new pine forest will make noise here. Thank you for making this possible.
